ARTISANS
Art-Pliqués are crafted in collaboration with distinguished Guatemalan artisans, skilled in ancestral techniques like jaspe, leather, and beadwork, under the design of Vitto Murga.
Vitto’s vision is to preserve the artisanal legacy, ensuring these traditions endure while enhancing artisans’ participation in Guatemala’s economic sector, providing them with year-round work opportunities.
Communities in departments such as Sololá, Sacatepéquez, and Quetzaltenango create Art-Pliqués, making each piece unique and treasured as a jewel.
The designer Vitto introduces a novel idea that fuses fashion with Art-pliqué, a term derived from Art (art + artisans) and Pliqué (appliqués).
