Who is Vitto?
A wife and mother, she is passionate about art and Guatemala.
A visual artist and fashion designer who expresses her vision with her contemporary designs. She has participated in several national and international exhibitions, paying tribute to Guatemala through designs inspired by its nature and culture.
For 10 years, her fashion brand, Jaspe by Vitto, has been presented on international platforms such as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and runways like the World Expo in Dubai. She has been mentioned in various media outlets, including the prestigious Vogue magazine.
Since 2018, she has participated in Guatemala Fashion Week and, in the 2023 edition, presented her new collection: #Danza, which incorporates a new concept into fashion through ART-PLIQUÉ®. Each garment is a canvas to be personalized with interchangeable artistic applications.
ART-PLIQUÉ® are interchangeable artistic appliqués designed by Vitto Murga, using techniques, raw materials, and elements from our ancestral Guatemalan culture, created by artisans from different communities. He redefines the concept of appliqué art.
In 2023, the Ministry of Economy awarded him the White Seal distinction, which is awarded to Guatemalan companies that have high-quality products with export potential through a focus on social responsibility.
Vitto is convinced that Guatemala has been the birthplace of pioneers who have made a name for themselves in the textile industry, establishing themselves as icons of excellence globally. “We have the necessary elements to establish ourselves as leaders in the global fashion sphere”.
